Barry G. Robbins Sr., of Telford, PA, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 12, 2018, while camping in Zion Grove, PA. He was 71.

He was the husband of the late Veronica K. (Leonard) Robbins until her passing on January 16, 2003. He was the companion of Barbara C. Rambo, of Quakertown, PA.

Born in Norristown, PA, he was the son of the late Ronald and Clarissa (Jenkins) Robbins.

He served with the U. S. Air Force from 1965 to 1969. Barry was employed as a mechanic, performing automobile inspection­s and tractor-trailer repairs for Spring House Leasing, West Point, PA, for many years until 1993. Then, he worked for the former Gran Sasso Restaurant, Perkasie, PA, and later at the former Rick Leaper Getty Station, Telford, PA, until retiring.

He was very active with Generation­s of Indian Valley, Souderton, PA, where he volunteere­d with its Meals on Wheels Program.

An avid pool player and member of the American Pool Associatio­n, he belonged to a pool league and played in many pool tournament­s over the years.

He was a member of the V.F.W. Forrest Lodge No. 245 and the Nase-Kraft American Legion Post No. 255, both in Sellersvil­le, as well as the Perkasie Order of Owls Nest. Barry coached Pennridge Little League Baseball and Pennridge Greenjacke­ts Football in his younger years.

He was an outdoors enthusiast and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and birdwatchi­ng.

Surviving with his companion are four children, Barry G. Robbins Jr. and his girlfriend Melissa Housekeepe­r, of Quakertown, PA, Tara B. Robbins and her husband Jeffrey G. Harrington, of Telford, PA, Joseph E. Robbins and his wife Beth, of Abington, PA, and Jeffrey E. Robbins and his wife Elizabeth, of Perkasie; eight grandchild­ren, Andrew, Caitlyn and her husband Matthew, Tyler, Heather, Erica, Christophe­r, Alexander and Tristan; a great grandson, Wesley; a brother, Jerry Robbins and his wife Kathy, of Trappe, PA; and three sisters, Ida Jane Heyser and her husband John, of Eagleville, PA, Charlotte Reed and her husband William, of Orange City, FL, and Robin Parker, of Norristown, PA.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Ronald Robbins Jr., David Robbins, John Robbins, and Edward Robbins.

Family and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Services to be held at 11:00 AM on Monday August 20, 2018, at the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM or Monday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately at the convenienc­e of the family.
