Margaret Rotz of King of Prussia;

Margaret Rotz passed away peacefully on Monday, August 13, 2018, at the Wayne Center in Wayne, PA. She was 74.

Margaret was a resident of King of Prussia, PA.

She retired as a Deputy Sheriff for the Montgomery County Sheriffs Department and then worked as a teacher’s aide for the Norristown School District. Margaret volunteere­d for the West Norriton Ambulance, Plymouth Ambulance, and Norristown Fire Department Fire Police. She was a member of the Montgomery County Fire Police Associatio­n, where she served as a commission­er, PA State Fireman’s Associatio­n, Norristown Hose Fire Company Woman’s Auxillary, Washington Fire Company #1 and the Masonic Lodge. Margaret was an avid walker and participat­ed in multiple races.

Born in Pottsville, PA, on January 30, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Anne Rotz.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Marion Oliver. Surviving is her loving family including a son, Michael Rotz and his wife, Christy; a daughter, Helena Camarda and her husband, Dave; 2 grandchild­ren, Emily and Aidan; 4 sisters: Eileen Mione, Gerri Battista, Agnes Escobar and Barbara Affrunti; and many other loving family members.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons may be made in Margaret’s memory to your local volunteer fire department.
