Gloria Patson Barone of Norristown

Gloria Patson Barone, a lifelong resident of Norristown, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Phoenixville Hospital. She was 85.

Born February 28, 1933 in Royersford PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Pasiotes) Patson and the wife of Samuel C. Barone, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.

She was predeceased by her brothers George Peter, Gus and Alexander Patson, and sisters Esther Amoroso and Agnes Shewell.

In addition to her husband Sam, she is survived by six children: Samuel P. Barone (Annette), Maria Kehoe (John), Paula Law (James), Harry Barone (Laurie), Annalisa Doud (Stephen) and Nancy Flemming (Kevin).

She was the loving grandmother of Angela, Marissa, John Christian, Patrick, Alexandra, Stacey, Tricia, Samuel, Lucie, Jackson, Michaela and Ethan, and proud greatgrandmother of Memphis, McKenna, Olivia and Dominic.

Gloria enjoyed babies, antiques, dancing, travel and coffee. She loved the beach; especially Rehoboth Beach, DE and Naples, FL where she and Sam wintered for over 20 years. Most of all she loved her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to Gloria’s Life Celebration at BoydHorrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 200 W. Germantown Pike on Thursday, September 13th from 6-8 pm and again Friday, September 14th from 9-10:15 am. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Patrick Cemetery Mausoleum at 11 am followed by interment.
