White Horse Village is a 28-year-old, not-for-profit, accredited lifecare community providing for the current and changing needs in housing, health care and support services for individual­s and couples over the age of 62 seeking an active lifestyle.

White Horse Village is a retirement destinatio­n located on nearly 100 acres of meadows, woodlands and gardens adjacent to Ridley Creek State Park in historic Edgmont Township in Southeaste­rn Pennsylvan­ia. Homes, cottages and apartments range in size from 500 to 3,200 square feet. There are refundable entry fee plans, and monthly fees include all services, amenities, 24-hour security, utilities, a variety of dining venues, housekeepi­ng, maintenanc­e, landscapin­g, trash and snow removal, as well as a full continuum of health care services.

At White Horse Village, the focus is solely on the satisfacti­on of its residents and their peace of mind knowing that quality longterm care or personal care is provided on site in the Healthcare Center should the need arise. One can be admitted directly from the home or hospital for shortterm placement or rehabilita­tion care, as well as long-term care in Canterbury Skilled Nursing. For those who need some support, Bridlewood Personal Care offers spacious studio suites. In the Four Seasons, care is provided for those with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. As a Medicare certified community, you do not have to be a resident of White Horse Village to take advantage of our superior Healthcare Center services.

At White Horse Village, there is an emphasis on wellness through education, fitness, performing arts and enrichment programs. Amenities include an indoor pool, a fitness center, a library, a tavern, a boutique, a re-sale shop, a bank, out-patient medical offices, wood shops and an art studio. Outdoor sporting areas include bocce, horseshoes, a putting green, croquet, shuffleboa­rd, Harvester’s Garden, walking trails and a doggie park.
