Husband changes locks to teach wife a lesson

WHITEMARSH » Shortly after 3 a.m. Sept. 9, police were dispatched to the White Marsh Meadows section of the township for a domestic incident. A woman came home to find that her husband had changed the locks to their residence. The woman told police she had had an affair earlier this year and her husband got upset and changed the locks after finding out she had gone over to the other man’s house that night for business reasons.

Police made contact with the

husband who said he understood that he couldn’t legally lock his wife out; he just wanted to teach her a lesson.

Attempted burglary

WHITEMARSH » At 12:38 a.m. Sept. 12, police received a report of a burglary at the Lukoil gas station and convenienc­e store, 7 Ridge Pike. Although the initial report said that the store’s window had been shattered, police arrived to find the window scuffed and scraped, but intact. It appeared that someone had tried to throw a brick through the glass but entry was never made into the store. Police are reviewing surveillan­ce camera footage from the time of the incident.

Dog bites man

WHITEMARSH » On Sept. 13 at 2:24 a.m., police were called to the 5100 block of Campus Drive for a reported animal bite. The victim said he was walking on the property when a pit bull ran up and bit his forearm causing a deep laceration. A witness stated the dog was being walked without a leash. The dog’s owner, who was outside collecting scrap metal, said the dog’s shots were up to date but had no paper work to prove it. Police informed the owner that he needed to quarantine the dog until the animal’s status, which was later confirmed, could be determined. The victim declined hospital treatment and the dog owner was cited for walking the dog without a leash.

Hotel harassment

WHITEMARSH » On Sept. 14, police responded to a complaint of harassment that had occurred over the weekend at the Holiday Inn, 432 Pennsylvan­ia Ave. An employee told police a guest spoke to her and touched her inappropri­ately. She said he first grabbed her forearm and began speaking disparagin­gly about his ex-wife. Then, she said, he became irate and started yelling and cursing when she told him he could not purchase beer after midnight. Later, the man reportedly touched her buttocks and the buttons on her shirt while making lewd comments to her. Police and hotel security are reviewing surveillan­ce tapes to determine who the guest was.

Wife charged with assault of husband

PLYMOUTH » Police were dispatched to the Homewood Suites, 200 Lee Drive, for a domestic disturbanc­e that occurred around 6:30 a.m. Sept. 8. A hotel employee told responding officers a female guest had just left the lobby covered in blood. A few moments after officers arrived, the woman came back to the hotel. She told police the blood was not hers, but her husband’s, who was injured in a fight they just had. Police went to the couple’s room to speak to the husband who was bloodied from several facial cuts. The husband told police he sustained the injuries when his wife punched him repeatedly during an altercatio­n but he didn’t want to press charges. The woman was arrested and charged with simple assault.

Outlaw in-law charged with assault

PLYMOUTH » On Sept. 12 at 3:45 p.m. police responded to the 1600 block of Gallagher Court for a domestic disturbanc­e involving a mother and daughter.-in-law. The caller — the son and husband of the two women — said his wife attacked his mother with a broomstick. Both the husband and his mother told police the wife started the argument, then went into the mother’s worship room and began to damage a shrine. She then, allegedly, picked up the broomstick and struck her mother-in-law in the face with the handle. The mother-in-law had a red bruise on the right side of her face and complained of a chipped tooth. The daughter-inlaw was charged with simple assault and harassment.

Man charged with stalking car dealer

PLYMOUTH » A Collegevil­le man has been charged with stalking, criminal trespass and harassment after ignoring repeated orders to stay away from a local car dealer. On Sept. 12 at 2:40 p.m. the man entered Conicelli Toyota, 550 Ridge, Pike looking for an employee. According to the criminal complaint, state and local police had repeatedly advised the suspect not to show up at the business or the employee’s home following two incidents in August.

Husband faces abuse-related charges

CONSHOHOCK­EN » Police responded to a report of a domestic disturbanc­e in the 300 block of West 5th Avenue around 11 p.m. Sept. 14. Officers arrived to find a woman bleeding from a deeply lacerated bottom lip. When questioned by police about how she sustained the injury, the victim said her husband bit her but he “didn’t mean it.” Officers spoke to the husband, who was reportedly “highly intoxicate­d.” He told police “I may have kissed her too hard.” The woman was taken to an area hospital where she received multiple stitches. Her husband has been charged with aggravated and simple assault as well as reckless endangerme­nt.
