Overnight lane restrictions planned on Route 422
Overnight lane restrictions are scheduled next week on westbound Route 422 as part of a project to repair and resurface 50 miles of state highway in Montgomery County, PennDOT announced. The work schedule is: • Sunday, September 30, through Thursday, October 4, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., lane restrictions are scheduled on westbound Route 422 between the Route 363 (Trooper Road) and Oaks (Egypt Road) interchanges in Upper Providence and Lower Providence townships, for sawing and sealing; and
• Friday, October 5, and Saturday, October 6, from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m., lane restrictions are scheduled on westbound Route 422 between the Route 363 (Trooper Road) and Oaks (Egypt Road) interchanges in Upper Providence and Lower Providence townships, for concrete patching operations.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because slowdowns will occur. The contractor’s schedule is dependent on the weather.
As part of this improvement project, Route 422 will be resurfaced in both directions from just east of the Route 29 (Collegeville Road) Interchange to west of the Route 363 (Trooper Road) Interchange in Upper Providence and Lower Providence townships.
State highways completed under this resurfacing project include:
• Route 73 (Skippack Pike) between Green Hill Road and Mara Drive in Worcester and Whitpain townships;
• Route 113 (Bridge Road) between Route 73 (Skippack Pike) and Route 29 (Gravel Pike) in Skippack and Perkiomen townships;
• Ridge Pike between Crosskeys Road and Route 29 (First Avenue) in Lower Providence Township and Collegeville Borough; and
