Daniel Thomas Bailey of East Norriton

Daniel Thomas Bailey, 69, of East Norriton, passed away surrounded by his loving family on September 28, 2018.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on July 15, 1949, he was the son of the late Olive (nee Sullivan) and Clifford Bailey.

Daniel honorably served our country in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a retired Norristown Police Officer. He also retired as a security officer from Montgomery County Community College.

He loved to golf and bowl, and especially loved spending time with his family.

He belonged to Vietnam Veterans of America Valley Forge Chapter 349, DAV Chapter 25, CWV Post 1182, FOP Lodge 31, and The American Legion Post 0901.

Daniel is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen McHale Bailey, and their children Annette Mandarano, Dawn (John) McEleney, Stephen (Tabby) Dembowski, and Danielle Bailey. He is also survived by his grandchildren Aviana, Heather, Mikey, Holly, Ryan, Colin, Aidan, Brendan, and Olivia, and great-grandchildren Craig and Temperance. He is also survived by his siblings Clifford (Vivian) Bailey, Paul Bailey, and Susan (William) Flynn.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Daniel’s life on Friday October 5 at Boyd-HorroxGivnish, 200 W. Germantown Pike Norristown, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, and again on Saturday October 6 from 9:00 – 9:50 am at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 2007 New Hope St., Norristown, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery in Phoenixville.
