Disruptive suspect attacks officers
BRIDGEPORT — Aggravated assault and related charges were filed against a Norristown man after and early morning scuffle with police in the 100 block of West Third Street Sept. 25. Police were called to the scene shortly after 2 a.m. for a report of a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived to find the female caller outside and knocked on the door to speak with the man involved in the dispute. The man reportedly yelled and screamed obscenities from inside the house, then bolted through the front door and tried to push an officer off of the steps. Two officers worked to restrain the man, who reportedly resisted by throwing punches. Police deployed a stun gun twice to get the man under control and take him into custody. According to the criminal complaint, he remained belligerent as he was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Domestic abuse suspect apprehended
CONSHOHOCKEN — At approximately 5:30 a.m. Sept. 22 police were dispatched to the 200 block of East Hector Street for a reported domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, the female caller said her boyfriend had just come home from a night of drinking and she was concerned he would become violent. She told police he slapped her after coming home drunk the previous evening and he threw her clothes out of a window when she packed to leave. She also told police he had an outstanding warrant. When police confronted the suspect, who reportedly smelled of alcohol, he made an offensive comment to officers and retreated to his room. He was taken into custody and charged with simple assault and related offenses.
