Arthur L. Kohl;

Arthur L. Kohl entered eternal life on October 8, 2018.

Mr. Kohl was born in Buffalo, New York and was one of two children of Arthur W. Kohl and Dorothea Kohl.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a pharmacist mate. He also served in the New York state guard 174th regiment.

Mr. Kohl worked as a manager with Sperry Rand in Buffalo and transferred to New York city for Univac (Unisys) as a manager and then to Blue Bell, where he worked and lived until his retirement in 1981.

Art enjoyed hunting with his dog Buddy; he also liked fishing and camping.

In later life, he followed music appreciation, reading and researching historic figures and events, as well as writing. He was involved in church work most of his adult life regardless of where he lived, and held many positions in service of his church. He was a member of the committee of 18 that negotiated the merger of Olivet United Church of Christ and the George Street Schwenkfelder Church to become the Olivet-Schwenkfelder United Church of Christ.

He is survived by a daughter, Sandra A. Whittington, of Stowe; a granddaughter, Nancy L. Frymoyer of East Norriton, a sister, Geraldine Carroll (Bill) of Orchard Park, New York, a brother-inlaw, Robert Zimpfer (Marilyn) of Kenmore, New York, a sister-in-law, Marlene Zimpfer (Floyd) of Buffalo, New York, and four nieces and nephews in the Buffalo area.

He was preceded in death by his brown-eyed beauty Alberta after 64 years of marriage, a sister Jean Aquino of Port Charlotte, Florida, brothers-in-law, Nelson Zimpfer of Clarence, New York, Floyd Zimpfer of Buffalo, New York, Joseph Aquino of Port Charlotte, Florida, sisters-in-law Audrey Zimpfer of Clarence, New York, Marilyn Zimpfer, of Kenmore, New York.

A brief graveside service will be held at the Central Schwenkfelder Church cemetery, 2111 Valley Forge Road, Lansdale, on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 9:30 A.M. where he will be united with his beloved wife Alberta. A memorial service will follow immediately at the OlivetSchwenkfelder United Church of Christ, 619 Township Line Road, East Norriton, PA 19403.
