Esther Keown of Conshohocken

Esther Keown, 87, of Conshohocken, died on November 19, 2018 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late George A. Keown Sr.

She was born in Glassboro, NJ, on August 12, 1931 to the late Joseph and Carmella (Iannuzzelli) Maggio.

Esther was a graduate of Conshohocken High School class of 1949. She was formerly employed as a component assembler for American Components Inc. in Conshohocken, Finneran and Hailey and Eagle Eye in Whitemarsh Twp., and was a Crossing Guard at Spring Mill Avenue in Conshohocken. She also worked the election polls in Conshohocken as a Clerk.

She was a member of Conshohocken Fire Co. #2 Ladies Auxiliary, the former SS. Cosmas and Damian Church where she was a member of St. Rita’s Sodality and was a board member. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling and going to the shore with her husband.

She is survived by her 4 children Esther Gallagher and husband William, Maryann Davis and husband Frank all of King of Prussia, George A. Keown, Jr and wife Maureen of Limerick, Joann Romano and husband John of Plymouth Meeting, 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, her sister Theresa Evanick of Conshohocken, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Friday, November 23, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill. The Viewing will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at church. Entombment in St. Matthew Mausoleum.
