Edward H. Collins of King of Prussia
Edward H. Collins passed away peacefully on Monday, November 19, 2018, surrounded by his loving family at his residence in King of Prussia, PA. He was 86.
Mr. Collins worked as a grounds crew foreman for the Upper Merion Area School District, and the superintendent of the Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, PA.
He was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia.
Ed was a US Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving from 1951 to 1955.
Born in Bridgeport, PA, on July 27, 1932, he was a son of the late John and Irene (DeLong) Collins.
Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 59 years, Lorraine M. Collins; three sons: Edward (and Maryann) Collins of W. Norriton, PA, John “Jack” (and Ana) Collins of Phoenixville, PA and Gary (and Cindy) Collins of Bridgeport, PA; a daughter, Jennifer (and Bill) Schutter of King of Prussia, PA; six grandchildren: Tiffany, Ashley, Brianne, Megan, Elizabeth and Eddie; four greatgrandchildren: Jadelynn, Ashlynn, Brantly and Jacob; a sister, Bernice & Dan Waddall of Narberth, PA; and many other loving family members.
Relatives & friends are invited to Ed’s viewing at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 9 to 9:50 am; with his Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ed’s memory to Holisticare Hospice, 685 Kromer Ave., Berwyn, PA 19312.
