Clara Barron, 93, of Norristown

Clara Elizabeth Barron (nee Hallman) passed away peacefully on November 16, 2018 at the age of 93.

Born in Norristown on July 28, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Elsie S. (nee Landes) and Ephraim M. Hallman.

She graduated from Norristown High School in 1943. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Eastern Star Sorority, and spent 53 years working in the banking industry.

Clara is survived by her beloved daughter Elizabeth “Betty” Barron Rodkin, step daughter Barbara Nuss (Milton), grandchildren Keith, Claire, and Sharon, six great- grandchildren, and twenty-six nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her first husband William F. Milligan in 1951 and her second husband George R. Barron in 1993. Clara was also preceded in death by her stepdaughter Kathryn, siblings Mabel, Bertha, LaVerne, Evelyn, Ephraim, Winfred, Elsie, and Ralph, nephew L. Robert Hallman, and nieces Amy Konkiel and Martha Thumm.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Clara’s life on Saturday, December 1 from 10– 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 132 E Valley Forge Rd, King of Prussia, PA 19406, followed by her Memorial Service at 11 a.m. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
