Ruth P. Herrmann of King of Prussia

Ruth P. (Ploschke) Herrmann passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Shannondell Meadows in Audubon, PA. She was 83.

Mrs. Herrmann was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Philadelphia, PA. Ruth worked as a Purchasing Supervisor for the former AT&T Phone Company.

She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in King of Prussia and the Upper Merion Senior Center. Ruth enjoyed gardening, knitting, woodcarving, going to the beach and crabbing with her grandchildren. She was also a pilot who loved flying.

Born in the Fishtown (K & A) section of Philadelphia, PA, on September 14, 1935, she was the daughter of Friedrich and Eugenia (Grober) Ploschke. She was the wife of the late Paul C. Herrmann, who died 6 months before her. Surviving is a step-son, Karl (and Renate) Herrmann of Trooper, PA; three step-daughters, Karen (and Mark) Murray of Collegeville, PA, Heidi (and Chad) Sherman of Green Lane, PA and Kristine (and Gino) DeLuca of Maryland; and eight step-grandchildren: Pam, Norman, Rebecca, Bethany, Stacey, Andrea, Elizabeth and Leo. She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Ploschke.

Relatives and friends are invited to Ruth’s viewing at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 132 E. Valley Forge Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 12:30 to 1:20 pm; with her service starting at 1:30 pm. Interment will be private in Forest Hills Cemetery, Huntingdon Valley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ruth’s memory to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 132 E. Valley Forge Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 and/ or Upper Merion Senior Center, 431 W. Valley Forge Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406.
