Anthony J. Tornetta of Audubon

Anthony J. Tornetta, 80, of Audubon died on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery surrounded by his loving wife and children.

Born July 10, 1938 in Norristown, PA, he was the son of the late Frances (Novickie) and Anthony Tornetta, and husband of Geraldine ‘Gerri’ (Puleo) Tornetta, his loving wife of 57 years.

Mr. Tornetta was a graduate of West Catholic HS class of 1956, and a veteran serving for four years with the US Marine Corps.

He was employed for over 35 years with PECO Energy Co. as a respected overhead transmission lineman and later as a supervisor for the small engine repair shop. A member of St. Teresa of Avila Church, W. Norriton, he enjoyed spending time with his family at his hunting cabin in Tioga County and his daughter’s family farm in Gettysburg. He was an avid outdoorsman, fisherman, and talented wood carving wildlife artist.

Survivors include children: Mark (Sharon) Tornetta of Skippack, PA, Karen (Matthew) Re of Gettysburg, PA, Amy (Paul) Greenwalt of Kimberton, PA, and grandchildren: Anthony, Michelle (fiancé Sean), Sean Tornetta; Austin (Ashley), Jensen, Nash (fiancé Aisling) and Grace Re; and Olivia, Aidan, and Sophia Greenwalt; and one great grandson Aston Dean Re; sister, Mary Jane (Edward) Sally. He will be sorely missed by his sisters and brother in laws: Bernie Silvestre, Rosemarie and C.T. (Tony) Anthony, Cathy Tornetta and an extended family of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings George and Barbara Tornetta.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, December 10, 2018, from 8:30 9:45 am, at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 1260 So. Trooper Road, W. Norriton, PA. His Memorial Mass will follow at 10 am. Entombment of his urn will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery Mausoleum, East Norriton, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions are made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
