Archbishop Wood dominated and rolled to a 72-47 victory over West Chester Rustin. Tournament MVP Rahsool Diggins (Sophomore) led the way for the Vikings dishing out several assists and scoring 20 points. Daeshon Shepherd added 12 and several other Vikings contribute­d to the victory. Ivy Pettit led the Golden Nights in a losing cause with 11 points. 4 points and Jay Stanfield with 2 points. The Panthers head out on the road again as they take on Souderton on Tuesday night. BOX HILL 63, METHACTON 61 >> The Methacton boys basketball team lost their season opener to Box Hill Secondary School (Australia) by a score of 63-61 on Saturday night. David Duda led way for the Warriors with 20 points, while Erik Timko and Marcus Girardo each chipped in with 9 points. close match to host Warwick 25-27. In the last second of the 138 match, it appeared that Connor Eck completed a come from behind win for the team by securing a reversal and fall at the buzzer. After the official conferred with the table, the pin was waived off in lue of a 8-5 decision. Wood concluded the day with a hard fought 44-24 loss to West Chester Rustin. After taking an early 17-0 lead, Wood was unable to overcome 3 FFT and an injury default. Strong contributi­ons were turned in by freshman Nolan Cataldi (152), Quinn Collins (195/220) & David McDonough (120) in addition to senior captains Zac St. Thomas (170) and Liam Jones (195/220) who all the Vikings defeated Elizabetht­own 57-24, but lost to Warwick 27-25 and Bayard Rustin 44-24 on Saturday.
