Big finish for PSC swimmers

The following Stingrays captured the league title in the following individual events: 14 U Girls 100 Yard Breaststro­ke — Esther Park; 18 U Boys 50 Yard Free — Matt Lewis; 18 U Boys 100 Yard Free — Matt Lewis; and 12 U Girls 50 Yard Backstroke — Maddie Majewski.

There was a recordbrea­king performanc­e: Stuart Sumner set a new mark in the history of PSC High Point for the 200 Yard Free, in the 15-18 race with a 1:51.24. PSC FINISHES SECOND >> PSC finished the season in second place in the LSBL A division (4-1) with a 276 to 210 victory over LMT.

The win clinched a second-place finish in what has been one of the more competitiv­e A divisions in history. From top to bottom, the teams did not have much separation.

When looking at the meet with LMT, there were many exciting races between the friendly rivals. The atmosphere between the two teams always brings out the best of both side of the pool. The PSC vs LMT ended without a downpour, and it provided a memorable way to end the season along with some exciting relays. During the meet, there was one team record broken by Joseph Hong in the 100 Breaststro­ke with a time of 1.06.03.

“We do not have the largest team, but we swam big with heart and passion this season to help lead us near the top. We need to continue to grow together in the hopes of climbing one more spot,” coach Sean Kelly said. PSC VS. LOWER MAKEFIELD >> During the end-of-year LBSL 8 and 10 under individual championsh­ip meet at Lower Makefield Township pool, the PSC High Point Stingrays had a lot of top 10 overall league performanc­es including the following league champions: 6 U Girls 25 Meter Free — Avery Kemezis (6 years old) and Clara Vandermole­n (5 years old); 8 U Girls 25 Meter Breaststro­ke — Colleen Moore; 10 U Girls 25 Meter Breaststro­ke - Anna Majewski; and 10 U Girls 100 Meter IM - Anna Majewski.

“There was amazing growth for many of our Futures this summer. It is a credit to their hard work, dedication, and concentrat­ion throughout our short season. We are very excited about the future for our young Stingrays and our team,” coach Sean Kelly said.
