Sunday, Sept. 8: From 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Join a bird walk led by members of the Wyncote Audubon Society. Expect to see some fall migrants stopping over on their southward journey as well as resident bird species. Bring binoculars if you have them. Meet in the parking lot on Moredon Road. Wednesday, Sept. 11: Saint Helena Church in Blue Bell is going to have the 15th Blue Mass to honor the local Police, Fire, and EMTs from Montgomery County at 6 PM. NEARLY FULL MOON HIKE AT NORRISTOWN FARM PARK
Thursday, Sept. 12: At 7:30 p.m. Late summer’s harvest moon is the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox. The moon looks orange due to its closeness to the horizon. Join a park ranger on a walk in the park past sunset. Meet in parking lot #5. This free recreational program is appropriate for adults, and children ages eight and up. Preregistration is required. UKRAINIAN DAY FESTIVAL
Sunday, Sept. 15: Ss. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church annual Ukrainian Day Festival will be held from 11am until 5pm. The festivities will take place on the church grounds at 301 Fairview Street, Phoenixville. A stage show will begin at 2pm. There will also be Ukrainian and American food, Children’s Corner, Gift Baskets Raffle, Ukrainian exhibit, church tour, live music, vendors, and an indoor Flea Market. Raffle tickets will be sold for $5 with 20 cash prizes. You don’t have to be present to win. The event will be held rain or shine.

NATURE’S COLORS: NATURAL DYES HIKE AT NORRISTOWN FARM PARK
Sunday, Sept. 22: At2 p.m. Plants provide us with a myriad of colors that can be used as natural dyes. Goldenrod flowers, marigolds, black walnuts, and pokeweed berries are just a few of the color-producing plants that you will see on this guided walk. While this is not a hands-on workshop (we won’t be picking plants or making dyes), you will be given hand-outs that explain how to make pigments and dyes from these natural materials.
