LOWER MERION 1, UPPER MERION 0 >> Lower Merion came out victorious in a very evenly matched nonleague game. A bad bounce caused Lower Merion to score in the first half and Upper Merion wasn’t able to capitalize on their opportunit­ies in the second half. GA 2, EPISCOPAL ACADEMY 1 >> Shane Connolly and Kolby Palmer scored the goals as the Patriots picked up the win on Friday. Michael Dion earned an assist, while Ryan Fairlie made four saves in net. METHACTON 2, PV 1 >> Methacton (7-7) earned the win on Senior Night with an overtime goal by Zach Stevenson. Andrew Kacala headed home a cross in the opening half to take the early lead, but PV responded less than 3 minutes later with a penalty kick by Mark Pirrone. Both teams squandered many opportunit­ies to put the match away. Josh Moyer made two great saves and PV had a goal disallowed and hit a post and a crossbar. With 3:33 left in the first overtime, Kacala drove to goal and delivered a hard low shot that was saved, Zach Stevenson was there for the rebound to end the hard-fought match. UPPER MERION 9, POTTSTOWN 0 >> Manny Salazar, Suhas Gunta and Dylan Delapaz scored their first varsity goals in the PAC victory. CB SOUTH 1, SOUDERTON 0 >> Riley Finger made seven saves in net but the Indians dropped the contest on Friday.

Girls volleyball

GA 3, BALDWIN 2 >> Natalie Schildt delivered 33 kills, 15 digs, 6 aces and 3 blocks as the Patriots survived in five sets on Friday over Baldwin. The Patriots (11-0, 4-0) won by scores of 25-23, 1925, 26-24, 23-25 and 15-13. PJP 3, MERION MERCY 0 >> Chelsea Harvey led the way with seven kills as PJP got the sweep over Merion Mercy on Friday. CB WEST 3, BENSALEM 0 >> Naomi Woo had four kills and six blocks as the Bucks swept past Bensalem on Friday by scores of 25-12, 25-15 and 25-19.
