NPAAA Hall of Fame Ceremony Saturday

The 2019 North Penn Alumni Athletic Associatio­n Hall of Fame Ceremony will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. in the North Penn High School auditorium.

There is no charge and is open to the public.

Inductees include Barbara Campbell, a 1970 grad with nine varsity letters; Douglas S. Renner, Class of 1974 and a standout in both football and wrestling; Derrick R. Luby, a 1984 grad and the football team’s MVP his senior year; Bill Coddington, a 1985 grad who starred in football, basketball and track; Brian Faikish, who coached NP boys swimming to backto-back state titles in ‘03 and ‘04; Matt Finacchio, a four-year letter winner in wrestling; Amber Smolinsky Mercuro, who scored 1,159 points in basketball; and Adelina Gentry, a four- year letter winner in basketball.

Also, the Lifetime Achievemen­t Award will be given to Susan Capps Morris, Class of ‘73, and President of S.C. Morris Consulting.

Caroline Sweeney added a goal and two assists for the Monarchs. METHACTON 16, NORRISTOWN 0 >> Nicole Uebele had three goals an assist while Madison Noah and Ava Probst both scored twice as Methacton rolled to a PAC Liberty win Tuesday. POTTSGROVE 4, UPPER MERION2>> Samme Deskiewicz scored both goals for Upper Merion in Tuesday’s PAC Frontier loss to Pottsgrove.

Ella Menke had an assist while Annadeep Singh made 14 saves for the Vikings.
