Nashville musicians to hold concert for tornado relief
NASHVILLE, TENN. » Sheryl Crow, Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell, Dan Auerbach and more Nashville artists will hold a benefit concert to raise money for people impacted by a recent deadly tornado.
The concert called “To Nashville, With Love” will be held today at Marathon Music Works and feature artists like Old Crow Medicine Show, Ashley McBryde, Margo Price, Brothers Osborne, Yola and more.
Some in Nashville’s music community were touched by the storm that hit early Tuesday. East Nashville music venue The Basement East was hit, as well as the office for Dualtone Records, which works with artists like The Lumineers and Amos Lee.
Netflix cancels SXSW screenings, events amid virus concerns
LOS ANGELES » Netflix is canceling its South by Southwest screenings and events amid concerns about the outbreak of the new coronavirus.
A company spokesperson confirmed to The Associated Press that the streamer is pulling out of the annual Austin-based festival, which kicks off this week. The company had planned to screen the feature film “Uncorked,” with Courtney B. Vance, and four docuseries. The news was first reported by
In addition to the screenings, Netflix is canceling a panel with Rashida Jones and Kenya Barris about the series #blackexcellence.
Netflix is not the only company to scrap its festival plans. The
reported that Apple was also canceling its plans for the festival.

Martin and Iglesias join forces live in concert this fall in what is being billed as a “historic” North American arena tour. They kick off in Phoenix on Sept. 5 and wrap in Atlanta on Oct. 30.
Expect performances of some of the singers’ combined list of chart-toppers, such as “Hero,” “Escape” and “Tonight,” from Iglesias and “Livin’ La Vida Loca,” “She Bangs” and “Vente Pa’ Ca,” from Martin.
Grammy winner Sebastian Yatra, best known for his Latin pop album “Fantasia,” will be on board as special guest.
This joint tour has been a long time coming, Martin and Iglesias told The Associated Press.
“Personally, I’ve been wanting to do this for a while actually, and now is a great time,” said Iglesias who recently became a dad for the third time. “We’ve known each other such a long time ... 24, 25 years, and I think the mix of music and the journey we’re going to take the fans through in the show is going to be quite an experience.”
