Montco Commerce cancels Manu-Fest due to virus concerns
Penn Christian Academy’s Robotics Team 10132R earned the the first-place trophy in the Teamwork Challenge Championship at the PA State VEX IQ Championships! Through the entire tournament, they held
a spot in the top 16 teams and went into the finals at 9th place.
During the last match, Team 10132R and their alliance partner scored 111 points which resulted in a 1st place championship win!
Additionally, they qualified for the VEX IQ World Championships which will be held in April. Congratulations for this achievement go to all of the Penn Christian VEX IQ Robotics teams and their coaches, Ms.
Ellis and Mr. Cureton.

NORRISTOWN » In light of events that are rapidly evolving related to COVID-19, Manu-Fest and More 2020 will not go ahead as planned March 10, according to the Montgomery County Commerce Department.
The event was scheduled to take place at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks with 18 Montgomery County schools participating.
Schools, exhibitors, vendors and volunteers began receiving notification of the cancellation late on Friday, March 6.
The decision not to move forward with the event as planned was made after consultation with the Montgomery County Office of Public Health and the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety.
Ultimately, the decision is driven by a desire to exercise an abundance of caution and to minimize potential uncertainty and anxiety that may have been felt by the committed
NORRISTOWN attendees.
In the coming weeks, as the impact and implications of COVID-19 are better understood, the Commerce Department will consult with the venue, schools, exhibitors, and other stakeholders to reevaluate a new date for the event.
