Dogs & Brews tops list of weekend events

Here are some events planned for this weekend throughout the region:

• The Reading Public Museum hosts Dogs & Brews on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Take your furry loved ones to the Stone Terrace Tent to mingle with other pets while you sample local craft and artisan beverages, indulge in local eats from various food trucks and visit the booths of craft vendors, local pet shops, groomers and treatmaker­s. A limited number of tickets will be sold to allow for social distancing. Prices are $45 each or $80 per couple. Designated driver tickets are $25. A portion of the funds raised will benefit the Animal Rescue League of Berks County. • Liberty Taproom, Reading, hosts a backyard cookout with Rebel Hive Meadery and I’m So Reading apparel company on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. Magician Matty Whipple will be performing, as well.

• Historic Feeney Mansion, 625 N. Fourth St., Reading, will host a free garden tour and open house on Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m., rain or shine. The historic 28-room mansion and nine flowering garden areas will be open, with free music and a butterfly release. Light snacks and beverages will be available. Free. Families welcome.

• The Reading Pride Virtual Festival will stream online on Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. at www. youtube.com/readingpri­decelebrat­ion. An After Party live show will follow at 5 p.m. at the Gables at Stirling Guest Hotel. No seating will be provided, so take along a chair or blanket. Admission is $5 at the gate. VIP tickets are $25, and include wine and beer during the event. These tickets must be purchased in advance at eventbrite. com.

• Middle Class will perform live on the patio at the Inn at St. Peter’s Village, Elverson, on Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m.

• The Manatees will perform a family-friendly show at Music in the Grove at Fitztwater Station, Phoenixvil­le, on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. The restaurant will be serving food and drinks.

• The Soundbank, Phoenixvil­le, presents socially distanced shows featuring Hotlanta — The Allman Brothers Tribute Band on Friday at 7 p.m. and Bignote Blues on Saturday at 9 p.m.

• JD Malone will perform at Free Acoustic Friday at 6 p.m. at the Steel City Coffeehous­e, Phoenixvil­le, with seating inside and out at 50 percent capacity. The show also will stream on Steel City’s Youtube page.

• The Tailgate Takeout Series at 118 North in Wayne presents Wally Smith and Greg Davis on Friday, AM Radio Trio on Saturday and DB Lambert and Link Hansen on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. The series features local musicians playing out of the restaurant’s bay windows with food and cocktails to-go available to order. • SoulJoel’s Comedy Club, 155 Railroad Plaza, Royersford, presents a night of comedy in its amphitheat­er featuring Sean Donnelly, Lou Palminteri and host Joel Richardson on Saturday at 7 p.m. This event is BYOB, Bring Your Own Food, Tents and chairs. Everyone is socially distanced in their own pods. Tickets are $20 at https://nightout.com/ events/july18th/tickets.

Dressed in period style clothing, Dodd takes listeners back in time to feel what it was like to live in the Old West. He sings and plays acoustic guitar, harmonica, banjo and mandolin. The event is free. Take your own chairs or blanket, wear a mask and remember to social distance.
