He noted changes may be in the works for the township’s movie night, scheduled for Aug. 29.

“We’re in the process of trying to turn that event into a drive-in,” Dzedzy said, adding that if the drive-in aspect becomes finalized, the movie, “Frozen II”, may be moved to Centennial Park to accommodat­e more cars.

Dzedzy noted that all township facilities have been re-opened, with Green Phase restrictio­ns remaining in place. As additional sanitizing measures have been implemente­d, signage regarding Health and Safety have been placed throughout the parks system. The Padden Park Project is currently still out to bid and regular seasonal maintenanc­e was performed throughout the parks system.

It was also noted that coronaviru­s cases in the township remain relatively low compared to other townships, which was attributed to compliance with wearing masks.

A motion to authorize a bid for the Jefferson Fire Company parking lot paving project will be voted on at the next meeting, as well as a bid for traffic light improvemen­ts at Whitehall Road and Sterigere Street, as covered under a new grant from ARLE.

The board considered three proposed zoning ordinance revisions, including the addition of a section that permits “townhouses and commercial or retail use and unified developmen­t in the business and profession­al districts; an ordinance to amend the township’s official zoning map to re-zone the properties located on Riverview Boulevard, and an ordinance to amend section 701.

Chief of Police Michael Kelly reported that 900 incidents were recorded in June, including four burglary; five public intoxicati­on; 11 parking enforcemen­t; four drunk driving and 22 disorderly conduct.

Public Works director Michael Valyo announced that the start of the 2020 paving project has been moved from July 15 to July 20.

Manager Jason Bopst reported that golf revenue for the month of June was $208,623.18. It marked the first time the golf course had hit the $200,000 mark, Bopst added.
