The board later denied a revised proposal for Norristown Academy Charter School
The board had denied the school’s original proposal earlier this year.
“There were some changes honestly one of the biggest issues is that their proposed start date is in two weeks,” noted solicitor Peter Amuso. “Even if everything is perfect I don’t know how the board can vote for a school (that will start in two weeks),”
Citing “a lot of (insufficiencies) in the revision,” Amuso noted that the “administration has worked hard to review this application.”
— Board Preesident Shae Ashe
Ashe pointed out that the application had been treated with fairness, “like any application that comes to our attention.”
