In his response, Saylor wrote he is running for office because “I want to bring leadership experience to this board. I have served on many boards in the last 20-years of my life. I understand the task of working with a group of people from different background­s to attempt to find a common ground and also the ability to openly debate subjects of importance. I want to make sure we are at the CORE delivering good quality education.”

Given one guaranteed accomplish­ment in office, Saylor chose the “return of Civics to the education sphere.”

Rowan Keenan

Keenan, 44, lives on Sixth Avenue in Collegevil­le.

He is an attorney, title agent and real estate agent and holds a bachelor’s degree from Colby College and law degrees from Boston College Law School and Temple University Beasley School of Law.

Keenan spent 12 years on Collegevil­le Borough Council and was appointed to Collegevil­leTrappe Municipal Authority for eight years.

He wrote that he decided to run because “I have three children currently attending Perkiomen

Valley and a fourth who is three and will be attending soon and I care deeply about their education.”

Given one guaranteed accomplish­ment in office, Keenan wrote “I guarantee that I will treat all PV students as though they were my own children and will serve their parents with respect and deference.”

Jason Geddes

Geddes, 42, lives on Caredean Drive in Collegevil­le. He has never held elected public office.

He works as a senior capital projects manager and is currently pursuing an MBA degree.

In his response, Geddes wrote that he is running “to better serve students, teachers, and parents.”

Given one guaranteed accomplish­ment in office, Gedes chose “managing the budget better than previous board.”

Don Fountain

Fountain, 64, lives on Bridge Road in Collegevil­le and has never held elected public office.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Mercer University and a master’s degree from Villanova University.

Fountain “currently works at Onward Behavioral Health as a licensed profession­al counselor.” He retired from Perkiomen Valley High School in 2017 after having worked in the counseling department for 27 years.”

In his response, Fountain wrote he is running because “having been in education my entire career, I believe a have a unique perspectiv­e to offer this position. I have both lived in, and worked in the district, and have 5 grown kids that all graduated from Perkiomen Valley. I want to continue to help the district be the best it can be.”

Given one guaranteed accomplish­ment in office, Fountain wrote “to do my best to ensure that Perkiomen Valley School District will be the best it can be providing a safe and nurturing environmen­t to every student to enable them to work towards their academic, career, and social and emotional goals.”

Michelle Smith

Smith, 37, lives in Trappe and has never held elected public office.

She works as an executive solutions manager and holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management.

In her response, Smith wrote she is running for office “to help expand representa­tion across different groups within the community.”

Given one guaranteed accomplish­ment in office, Smith chose “residents of the Perkiomen Valley School District would not be impacted by an increase in a tax levy.”

Michelle Keating-Sibel

Keating-Sibel, 43, lives on Maple Avenue in Collegevil­le and has never held elected office before.

She works as a family nurse practition­er and professor of healthcare policy and law.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from East Stroudsbur­g University, a bachelor’s and master’s degree in nursing from Villanova University and a Doctor of Nursing degree from West Chester University.

In her response, KeatingSib­el wrote “I decided to run for the school board because I believe it is important to me that Perkiomen Valley School District continues to remain one of the best school districts
