Montco OKs nearly $1.3M in contracts
NORRISTOWN » Nearly $1.3 million in contracts were authorized last week during a Montgomery County Board of Commissioners meeting.
The trio of Montgomery County Commissioners were presented with a host of agreements on Nov. 18, spanning a number of departments including assets and infrastructure, district courts and public safety.
Of note, two five-year consulting contracts for the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services were approved. Timeframes were “contingent yearly upon receipt of grant funding,” the contracts state.
Agreements with two firms totaling $220,874 contributed to the development of a “BJA STOP School Violence Program — HHS Universal Impact Project” through the department’s Office of Drug and Alcohol.
A request for proposals was issued online, which netted 32 views and five bids, according to the contract. Officials awarded a roughly $192,615 agreement for “year one” with Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, of King of Prussia, and a $25,259 agreement for “year one” with Research for Action, of Philadelphia.
Agreements with three firms totaling $179,161 contributed to advisory services to develop a “College Drug & Alcohol Prevention and Mental Wellness Program.”
An online request for proposals was previously published and viewed by 27 businesses. Three companies submitted a bid, according to the contract. A $140,899 agreement with Pacific Institute for Research & Education of Beltsville, Maryland, and a $38,262 agreement with Prevention Education Solutions LLC, of Philadelphia made up the six-figure total.
In other business, a $166,730 agreement with Triad Truck Equipment Inc., of Pottstown, covered “up fitting services for two Mack dump trucks,” which was made available through a contract from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s cooperative purchasing program.
Additionally, a $150,288 one-year agreement with MKH Services Inc. dba CleanNet of Philadelphia of King of Prussia covered janitorial services. The oneyear contract also has an option for four renewal terms.
The contract between the King of Prussia-based firm and the Montgomery County District Court administration required “cleaning supplies for county leased district court facilities.”
A request for proposals was published online, according to the contract. The advertisement was viewed by 69 companies, in which five businesses responded.
