Ronald Wallace Rex, age 90, of Collegevil­le, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Manatawny Manor in Pottstown. Born in Norristown, Ronald was the son of the late Edward W. and the late Emma S. (nee McCreary) Rex, the devoted husband since August 11, 1956 of Anna Mae (nee Kulpa) Rex, the loving father of Judith A. Godliman of Phoenixvil­le, Susan A. Rex of Collegevil­le and Jennifer L. (Glenn H., Jr.) Barone of Pottstown, the proud grandfathe­r of “His Little Tykies”, Krystal, Isabella, Noelle, Rex and Lea and the beloved brother of the late Edward Rex, Jr., Elaine (the late Whitey) Emel of Skippack and the late Robert (Virginia) Rex of Telford.

Ronald was a graduate of Upper Merion High School, Class of 1953. After graduation, Ronald proudly served our country in The U.S. Army, from 1953 until 1955, earning the rank of Corporal. He then went on to become an accomplish­ed cement truck driver and member of Teamsters Local 384 in Norristown. He worked for Commercial Concrete from 1959 until 1980, when Commercial Concrete became part of JDM Materials and then continued on driving for JDM until he retired in 1993, finishing his career of over 34 years! Ronald attended St. Eleanor’s Catholic Church, he played football and basketball in his younger days, enjoyed his time hunting deer and pheasant in Potter county, bred Springer Spaniels and German Shepherds, had a horse, was an avid fan of country music, especially Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash and loved boxing, especially Rocky Marciano. Many will remember him as a talented carpenter, who built his home and barn and was always willing to lend a hand to his family, friends and neighbors.

Relatives and friends are invited to St. Eleanor’s Catholic Church, 647 Locust Street, Collegevil­le, PA 19426, on Friday, May 20, where Ronald’s viewing will be held starting at 10 a.m., followed by his Funeral Mass beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
