How is it made?

-

The second bar being planned is a honey bar.

VOID Soap is made in small batches — 100 bars at a time. Buynovsky has converted his basement into a soap-making lab. It takes four weeks to make each bar. Once the ingredients are mixed, the soap is poured into silicon molds and left to sit for 24 hours. Alter 24 hours, he cuts the bars.

“Then I press them and let them sit for four weeks. It’s a cold process natural bar,” he added.

Buynovsky said his products are for anyone looking for a simple formulation for

sensitive skin to get clean and not over dry their skin.

“What I am doing is nothing new,” he said. “There are a lot of players with a lot of skin in the game, I just try to do it a little better.”

Where are the products available?

Buynovsky opted for ecommerce, rather than a brick and mortar location. However, he does have two point-of-sale locations in Berks County where people can find VOID Soap. One of them is Mike & Joes Barber Salon, 1206 Schuylkill Ave., Reading,

and the other is The Bell Tower Salon Spa, 18 State Hill Road, Wyomissing.

He knows the owner and head barber at Mike & Joe’s — Eric Rodriguez — and sent him some samples and asked him to try the products. Rodriguez liked the bars, and has sold out a couple of times already. Buynovsky said he made a cold call to Bell Tower about the possibility of that business carrying his locally made product.

How are things going?

“So far, we’re doing OK. I hope people love it, and I hope they keep coming back,” he said, adding he

is seeing about 20% repeat customers.

Buynovsky said he is busy and constantly shipping bars out. He is also talking with some potential investors.

“As it is today, we are doing very well. I’m happy with how it’s doing,” he added.

Buynovsky wants to see the company grow and expand into additional point of sale locations.

Buynovsky markets his VOID Soap products on his website, www.voidsoap.com; on Instagram and TikTok, (voidsoapllc); on FaceBook; and through word of mouth.
