Kevin Ramey is in his first year as athletic director at Pea Ridge.

In his career, he has coached boys basketball, girls basketball, boys track and girls track.

He graduated from Russellville High School in 1993 and earned a master’s degree from the University of Arkansas. As a student, he played football, basketball baseball, golf and ran track. He still plays golf.

“I have a love for student athletes and the arena that sports plays in shaping youth into a whole person,” Ramey said as to why he coaches. “There are many lessons taught on the practice and game fields/courts that can’t be learned any where else. I always enjoyed working with young people into becoming the best that they can be and watching them achieve things they didn’t know were possible.”

The best advice he has received: “Everyone deserves to be treated with respect.”

The advice he gives students: “Be honest, treat people with respect, and get to work.”

He and his wife Lindsay have three children Coleman, 7, Carson, 6, and Harper, 1. He enjoys watching children play on their sports teams, Razorback games and watching the Blackhawks.
