Beta Alpha elects officers

Beta Alpha recently installed their new officers for 2017-18 during a candlelit ceremony at Mt. Vernon Presbyteri­an church. The newly elected officers are: president Amy Barnett; vice president Sandy Fletcher; secretary Meghan Good; and treasurer Karen Kitterman.

President Barnett chose as her theme this year, “We Will Be Community Superheroe­s.”

Beta Alpha is a nonprofit, community service philanthro­pic group that serves the Pea Ridge community in a wide array of activities from the annual Easter Egg hunt, Miss Pea Ridge pageants, Thanksgivi­ng community dinner and the annual Christmas parade, just to name a few. Beta Alpha meets the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran church.
