Mrs. Mildred Juanita Smith-McRae, 82 of Trenton departed this life on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center.

Born and educated in Dillon, SC, Mildred attended Dillion High School and Dillion Beauty School. She was a true “Dillionite”.

She worked at the South of the Border and move north to Brooklyn, NY where she became a profession­al dry cleaner, a career in which she excelled.

She became an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Newark, NJ. She later moved to Trenton, NJ, where she went on to work at Pino’s Formal Wear and retired after twenty five years.

She was a member of the Church of Christ for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, John McBride and Ernest McRae; her parents, Ed and Shadie Smith; grand-mother, Josephine Smith; brothers, Laval and Cornell Cook, a sister, Maeola McRae, nephew, Harold McRae, sisters-inlaw, Ruby McRae and Mary Sawyer, brothers-in-law, David and Luther McRae and her very best friend, Jean Jackson.

She is survived by her children, Eddie Maurice Smith, Sr. (Teresa) of San Jose, CA; Johnette McBride (Toby) of Bordentown, David, James (Loretta), Joseph (Elaine) and Carol McRae; grandchild­ren including Tasha, Eddie Jr., William“BJ”, Lizzell, Keith, Isaiah and Taylor and a host of other grandchild­ren, great grandchild­ren; sisters-in-law, Dorethea Reed (James) and Ellen West; six god-children, Janet Bone, Beverly Riddick, Pete Jackson, Priscilla Lockhart, Brenda Johnson and Charles Watkins and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a very special friend, Zeola Hall.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Church of Christ 411 N. Clinton Ave. Trenton, NJ.

Interment will be in Ewing Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church.

Arrangemen­ts are by Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
