Trenton
Tinted Windows Arrest: Officers from Street Crimes Unit were patrolling the 100 block of East Hanover Street at 7 p.m. on Thursday when they observed a vehicle with tinted windows and conducted a motor vehicle stop. Julio Caraballo, 33, of the 300block of South Logan Avenue in Trenton, was observed by police to have an open container of beer and a small bag of marijuana in the vehicle. Caraballo was placed under arrest without incident. He is charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, open alcohol in vehicle, and tinted windows. He was released after
Gloucester Township
Chick-fil-A robbery: On July 23 at approximately 3 p.m., the Gloucester Township Police Department were dispatched to Chickfil-A, 481Berlin-Cross Keys Road, for the report of a pedestrian motor vehicle crash involving injuries. Upon the arrival of police, they discovered that a young adult female had been the victim of a strongarmed robbery and was struck by the fleeing vehicle and dragged approximately thirty feet under the vehicle. The victim had extensive injuries to her head, face and body. She was immediately rendered medical attention at the scene and transported to a local hospital for advanced medical care. The Gloucester Township Police Department then began an intense investigation in an attempt to identify the suspect of the robbery and fleeing vehicle. Police units then began to canvass the area over the next 24hours and located the suspect vehicle abandoned in a nearby neighborhood. Through further investigation and video footage, a suspect was positively identified. On Thursday at 9 a.m., defendant William Santarlasci IV turned himself in and was formally charged with robbery, aggravated assault, assault by auto, knowingly leaving the scene of an accident resulting in serious bodily injury, endangering an injured person, theft, and was issued multiple motor vehicle summons. Bail was set at $200,000. Santarlasci, 19, of the first block of Sagebrush Lane in Sicklerville, was processed and released after posting bail.
Princeton
Theft: Andres Velez, 20, of Red Oak Row in Princeton, was arrested Wednesday shortly before 3p.m. for theft at a business on the first block of Witherspoon Street. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released with a pending court date. Velez is charged with theft and theft by deception.
Warrant Arrest: Ryan Tartaglia, 31, of Tremont Street in Philadelphia, and Majde Haj, 31, of Woodlake Drive in Marlton, were arrested Wednesday at approximately 1 p.m. following a motor vehicle stop on Charlton Street for failure to wear a seatbelt. Haj and Tartaglia were arrested for having active warrants issued by the North Wildwood Municipal Court for $250 and Westampton Municipal Court for $233 respectively. Haj and Tartaglia were transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released after they posted bail. Burglary: A resident on Alexander Street reported that someone entered her home between March 26, 2016 and June 30, 2016 and stole $3,625worth of jewelry. The jewelry was reported stolen on Thursday at 10:45 a.m. The investigation was turned over to the detective bureau for follow-up. Theft: Two suspects defrauded a victim out of $2,600by telling the woman they had won the Mega Millions and needed her assistance in claiming the winnings. The incident occurred on Stockton Street on Thursday at 1 p.m. The investigation was turned over to the detective bureau for follow-up.
