PHILADELPHIA >> Giants import Rueben Randle slowly but surely is making his presence felt for the Eagles. The veteran receiver schooled rookie cornerback Jalen Mills, who had position on a hitch, by turning his hips to get to the ball first, then spinning away Friday morning at training camp.

Randle (6-4, 205) caught 57 passes for 797 yards (14.0 average) and a career-high eight touchdowns with the Giants last season.

“Rueben came back after the surgery he had in the spring, healthy and ready to go,” Doug Pederson said. “He’s had a good start to camp. I think Nelson (Agholor) has done a nice job and Josh Huff, too. And Jordan Matthews has come back in a good mindset. We’ve got good depth.”

Pederson also mentioned Chris Givens, formerly of the Rams, who was signed to be a deep threat. Sam Bradford was picked off by cornerback Eric Rowe trying to go up top to Givens at the indoor practice facility.

*** With Darren Sproles having signed a one-year contract extension Friday, the top contract extension candidate on the Eagles, per Spotrac.com, is defensive tackle Bennie Logan.

Eagles football operations chief Howie Roseman said Logan, in the last year of his rookie contract is “someone that we see here.

“We love Bennie Logan,” Roseman said. “Bennie Logan is a heck of a player, a great person on and off the field.”

The Eagles have shelled out a ton of money to extend Fletcher Cox, Zach Ertz and Brent Celek, and a chunk of change to re-sign Vinny Curry.

*** NOTES >> Pederson said guard Brandon Brooks, the big-bucks free agent addition, could return next week. Brooks was acing the pass/fail fitness run Thursday before injuring a hamstring . ... It’s early in the kicking competition but Caleb Sturgis made all his attempts Friday, while Cody Parkey missed from 33 and 43 yards. … Carson Wentz made a totally reckless sidearm cross-body throw on the run through several bodies to tight end M.J. McFarland that would have gone for big yards. It was Favre-esque. McFarland (65, 255), by the way, is having a solid, if not spectacular tour with the Eagles. … There isn’t anyone on the Eagles who can cover Ertz. The three-year veteran gets open whenever he wants to, even against safeties Malcolm Jenkins and Rodney McLeod.
