Bernice White of Hamilton

Bernice White, 89, of Hamilton departed this life on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Compassioate Care Hospice at RWJUH@Hamilton.

Born in Trenton, NJ, Mrs. White was a lifelong area resident. She was educated in the Trenton Public School System. She was employed by Young’s’ Rubber and Carter Wallace.

She was a faithful member of Wayne Avenue Baptist Church.

Predeceased by her husband, John White; her parents, Corine Davis and Sam Lindsey; stepfather, Henry Davis, Sr.; a daughter, Delores White; a granddaughter, Kim Lindsey; siblings, Henry, Jr.; Henry “BaeBae”, George Davis and Leo Rhodes; an aunt, Mary Rhodes and a son-in-law, John H. Jenkins.

She is survived by her children, Dorothy Lindsey, Phyllis Lindsey-Jenkins, Roslyn Rhodes Shepherd, Timothy Rhodes, John White, Jr., Inger White and Cory White; a special son-in-law, Leroy Shepherd; sisters, Louise Brown (Samuel) and Patricia Copeland; grandchildren, Brad (Maria), Andre and Jon (Christine) Lindsey and Anisa Taylor; nieces, Rochelle Coleman, Karen Y. Jones, Stephanie Godbolt (Ronald) and Lorraine Jenkins and a host of great grandchildren and a other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be Friday, August 27, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Wayne Avenue Baptist Church, 30 Wayne Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618.

Interment will be Ewing Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Friday, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the church.

Arrangements are by Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
