Bleach Throwing: Patrice D. Branch, 34, of the first block of Cleveland Avenue in Trenton, was arrested Wednesday morning on an active warrant for aggravated assault. The warrant was issued in regards to an incident that occurred on Tuesday on the 100 block of Old Rose Street shortly before 9:30 p.m.. Officers Rosemarie Addar and Miguel Torres were detailed to the 100 block of Old Rose Street on the report of a crime that had already occurred. packing up her belongings. During the dispute, Branch threw what was believed to be bleach at the victim’s face and chest, which caused his eyes to burn. Apparently, Branch then retrieved a wooden bed post and then struck the victim in his thigh. She then left the residence. As a result of the investigat­ion, a warrant was issued for Branch. Her bail was set at 10 percent of $2,500. Choking: Marcos A. Santiago, 42, of the 1300 block of South Broad Street in Trenton, was arrested Wednesday on an active warrant for aggravated assault. Santiago was arrested by Detective Daniel Simpkins from the Violent Crime Warrant Unit on the 200 block of North Montgomery Street. The warrant was issued in regards to an incident that occurred on May 24 in the 300 block of Clearfield Avenue. A female victim reported that during an argument her ex-boyfriend, Santiago, had straggled her, which caused pain and visible signs of injuries to her neck. As a result of the investigat­ion, a warrant was issued for Santiago’s arrest. His bail was set at 10 percent of $35,000.

Drug Bust: A trio of Trenton residents were arrested Wednesday night after drugs were found in a vehicle they were occupying. Nazier McKoy, 20, of the first block of Reading Avenue, Anthony Matlock, 18, of the 400 block of Monmouth Street, and Javon Banks-Dawson, 19, of the first block of South Walter Avenue were observed Wednesday shortly before 5:30 p.m. in the vehicle. Street Crimes Unit detectives Crystal Everett, Jonathan Cincilla and Jose Gonzalez were patrolling the 100 block of Walnut Avenue and saw individual who was in the rear seat, later identified as Matlock, apparently looking down at an object in his hand. Detectives stopped to conduct the investigat­ion and observed a loose amount of what they believed to be marijuana. Matlock was removed from the vehicle and placed under arrest. Detectives smelled a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle and observed a large Ziploc bag containing several other smaller baggies containing suspected marijuana. Banks-Dawson and McKoy were then also removed and placed under arrest. Detectives recovered 16 grams of marijuana and 30 decks of heroin. McKoy was found to be in possession of $505 and Banks was found to be in possession of $120, which was seized as suspected proceeds from illegal narcotics transactio­ns. All three were charged with possession of drugs and possession with intent to sell 1,000 feet from a school. Heroin Bust: Dylan Heath, 22, of the 100 block of Shire Drive, was arrested Wednesday at approximat­ely 10:30 p.m. on drug charges. Street Crimes Unit detectives Miguel Acosta and Stephen Szbanz were on patrol on the 300 block of Rutherford Avenue when they observed a vehicle parked illegally. The detectives observed an individual walk up to the passenger side window. As detectives stopped to investigat­e, they observed three decks of heroin and a digital scale in the console of the vehicle. Heath, who was occupying the vehicle, was taken into custody. He was released after being issued summonses.
