Lock up the rapists

Explain this to me like I am a 6 year old. Why on God’s green earth is this scum of the earth allowed back into the house where there were children? Why was this piece of scum not prosecuted for rape in 2008 when he first raped the 14 year old? What is wrong with the Mercer County Prosecutor’s office? They constantly plea out heavy cases to petty stuff, thus allowing scum back out into the streets. In this case, this person was allowed back into a house with the victims of his first crimes. What the hell? This prosecutor’s office better get some backbone and stop plea bargaining and put rapists where they belong. In jail for a long time! — An angry reader

Agreed. Certain crimes should not be able to be pleaded down. Especially for victims who are minors. This speaks to our whole culture being wary of rape accusers though. So much doubt is cast about rape accusations that prosecutors will try to get whatever convictions they can because scumbag lawyers will defend scumbag rapists and make sure that juries doubt the validity of a child’s story. — Ed Note
