Trenton

Burglary: Courtney Hayes, 42, of Trenton was arrested on Tuesday around 8 a.m. in the 400block of North Willow Street on Tuesday. He was arrested on an active warrant issued in connection with a Sept. 8 domestic violence incident that also occurred in the 400 block of North Willow Street. In that incident police, said that Hayes went to his ex-girlfriend’s home and began banging on the door. Eventually he broke down the door and entered the residence. The woman managed to get out of the home before he entered and called

police. He was charged with burglary, criminal mischief, contempt of court and had outstandin­g warrants. His bail was set at $75,000, according to police records

Robbery: Leon A Ingram, 37, of Trenton, was arrested Tuesday at 6:11p.m. in the 200 block of Highland Avenue on a warrant related to a strong arm robbery that took place on Sept. 11in the area of Reservoir and Frazier streets. Police

said that a woman walking in the area around 1 a.m. was approached by Ingram from behind, grabbed her and stated he was going to “walk her home.” Trenton Police Lt. Stephen Varn when a passing motorist stopped to ask what was going on. At that point Ingram took off with the woman’s personal property. Taken was a cellular phone and other personal property. Police said that Ingram was charged with robbery. Additional­ly he had a Ewing warrant in the amount of $150. His bail on the robbery was set at $100,000 full, according to police records.

Gun: Police arrested an 18-year-old city man on Monday after responding to a call for shots-fired around 8:52 p.m. on Sept. 19 in the 100 block of Turpin Street. Trenton Police Lt. Stephen Varn said that Street Crime Unit Detectives were responding to a shooting that took place on Ingleton Street. While the detectives were searching the area they encountere­d Quinton Raughley who then fled on foot down various streets and alleyways. During the chase Raughley produced a handgun which went off when he attempted discard the weapon. Following a brief struggle, officers were able to arrest the 18-yearold. Police recovered the handgun and Raughley was charged accordingl­y, Varn said.

Drugs: Brandon J. Council, 22, of Hamilton and Lloyd C. Johnson, 26, of Trenton, were arrested in the first block of Bryn Mawr Avenue on Tuesday at 11:20p.m. after officers observed a motor vehicle violation. Trenton Police Lt. Stephen Varn said that the driver of the vehicle, identified as Council was found to have outstandin­g warrants and he was placed under arrest. Varn said that at that time it is alleged that Lloyd Johnson protested Council’s arrest in a loud and abusive manner. Varn said that Johnson was advised to stop. He did not. While he was engaged in his protest a large crowd began to gather, Varn said. As a result Johnson was placed under arrest. Council was charged with drug possession after he was observed squirming around in the back of the police cruiser. When they arrived at police headquarte­rs the officers found 5grams of crack cocaine stuffed into the rear seat. A search of his person also turned up $1,580, said. Council was charged with drug possession hindering and motor vehicle violations. Additional­ly he had outstandin­g warrants from Hamilton and Trenton. His bail informatio­n was not immediatel­y available. Johnson was charged with improper behavior and obstructin­g the administra­tion of law. He was released on a summons, according to police records.
