Allies models strut their stuff
On Thursday, June 2, 2016, 34 models of all abilities walked the runway as part of the Allies, Inc. 2016 Fashion Show and Cocktail Party at The Stone Terrace in Hamilton.
The event featured models served by Allies, Inc. and affiliate Opportunity Knocks wearing fashions found at Allies Greensleeves Thrift Boutiques.
The event was attended by nearly 300 guests and gives us an opportunity to share the mission of Allies, Inc. and celebrate the abilities of those we serve.
All models received haircuts and formal styles donated by Meori Salon and Spa of Hamilton, as well as full makeup glam and styling by 10 volunteers from Ocean County Vocational and Technical School of Brick, NJ. Allies Inc. is so thankful for their generous contributions to this event!
It was a vibrant evening filled not just with great food, dancing, and cocktails, but an extraordinary runway event that stole the show!
The runway show’s grand finale featured the newly married Marcy and Joe Reiner. Marcy donned a wedding gown donated by The Bridal Suite and Joe sported a tuxedo donated by Gianni Formal Wear and Tailoring, both businesses are located in Hamilton.
Fashions worn by Allies Inc. models were donated to our Greensleeves Thrift Boutiques as part of our small business initiative. Every Greensleeves shop is operated in conjunction with a day program serving adults with disabilities. Our store fronts provide participants with a direct, on-site opportunity to explore vocational skills in a community based setting.
Not only does the Allies Inc. Fashion Show celebrate the abilities of our models, but it also gives a peek at the great finds you will come across when you shop a Greensleeves Thrift Boutique.
