Man convicted on felony murder charges in deadly drug deal

-

FREEHOLD >> An Asbury Park man accused of fatally beating another man during a drug deal has been convicted of felony murder.

Monmouth County prosecutors say 21-year-old Jahmir Bouie was also found guilty of robbery and murder in the July 2013 death of Thomas Sudano Jr. He faces several decades in prison when he’s sentenced Dec. 2.

Bouie’s accomplice, 21-year-old Spencer Young of Asbury Park, was convicted on similar charges in May. He received a 50year sentence last month.

Prosecutors say Sudano had gone to Asbury Park to buy drugs. But the 36-yearold Brick man was attacked by Bouie and Young after they lured him into a city housing complex.

Sudano died two days later. An autopsy determined that he died from blunt force trauma to the head and neck.
