Pennington grabs back-to-back Prep B titles

MORRISTOWN >> Carly Rice scored 15 points, with 10 coming at the free throw line, as the fourth-seeded Pennington School girls basketball team upset third-seeded Morristown­Beard on the road to win the NJISAA Prep B state championsh­ip once again, 39-26, Wednesday.

The 11-12 Red Raiders, who will play at Hopewell Valley High in the opening round of the Mercer County Tournament at 5:30 p.m. Friday, also received seven points apiece from the Johnson sis- ters, Ayanna and Leah.
