Back Talk Sports support

-

This is this is about supporting our local teams. Princeton university makes it to March Madness. They make it in and we have governor Christie who goes to the game between Notre Dame and Princeton and he’s pulling for Notre Dame to win. Where is the support for a local teams? When you become governor a state you’re supposed to support our local colleges in our local teams. The New Jersey nets moved out. He didn’t bother trying to keep them here. We could have a WNBA team, we can have professional women’s team here if he really wanted to try to bring it in here. This governor has no support for any of our local colleges any of our local sports. He’s a Dallas Cowboys fan, which everybody doesn’t understand. He’s the worst governor. He’s he’s got one year left, and he won’t get anything done. The next governor, whoever it’s going to be, we need a governor who is going to support our local colleges. Who’s going to support our local teams? Who’s to have a good positive image of our sports teams and our athletes. —A Reader

Love or leave?

I’m completely surrounded by the last election. I don’t understand how Republicans use all the social programs that were instituted by Democrats like social security and the WIC program, medicare, Medicaid, Healthcare, they use all these programs, instituted by democrats, but then when they go to the polls to vote for the people who want to eliminate these programs. Can some Republican call in and explain this and don’t tell me that if I don’t like it to leave, because you’re the one who didn’t think America was great, and you should be the ones leaving. — A reader

Because the two-party nonsense and extremism have polarized parties so much that lots of folks all around the country are voting against their own interests. — Ed Note
