Kenneth G. Andres, Sr., 88, of Ormond-by-the-Sea, Florida passed away on March 20, 2017 at Florida Memorial Hospital.

He was a life-long Trenton area resident and graduated from Trenton Central High School in 1945 where he played soccer and basketball.

He proudly and honorably served in the New Jersey Army National Guard.

He spent his whole career with the New Jersey Bell Telephone Company, retiring after 38 years from a management position.

Mr. Andres was very active in youth sports in Hamilton Township, coaching multiple baseball, basketball and soccer teams and he never missed an opportunit­y to watch his sons’ games. An avid Yankee fan and NASCAR enthusiast, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Andres was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church in Trenton and Riverview Methodist Church in Ormond Beach, Florida.

Predecease­d by his parents, George and Bertha (Tomes) Andres and brother and sister-in-law, Cornell E. Andres and Violet Andres; he is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Joan Fredericks Andres; his three sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth G. Andres, Jr. and Karen Andres of Haddonfiel­d, NJ, David K. Andres and Maureen Andres of Belle Mead, NJ, and Jeffrey H. Andres of Hamilton, NJ; his grandchild­ren Brad, Connor, Tim and Christy Andres and step-grandchild­ren Maggie, C.J., George and Abigail Edinger. The family would also like to thank Joyce for her help.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690.

Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at 9:30 AM at the Saul Colonial Home. Interment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton.

Memorial contributi­ons may be made in Mr. Andres’ memory to MoochSocce­r, Inc., a volunteer organizati­on providing education and soccer opportunit­ies to underprivi­leged boys and girls in the City of Trenton or Crossing Paths Animal Rescue.
