Parker: Cops just did drive-thru after McDonald’s fight

- L.A. Parker Columnist

First, those black McNuggets fighting in the McDonald’s parking lot off Chambers St. should be found, arrested, charged and face trial.

If found guilty, let them do several months or more inside the Mercer County prison.

The Trentonian on Tuesday posted the Facebook video that showed the fight. A quick look from the comfortable horizontal position of bedroom literally forced my hand.

Traveled three blocks in the pouring rain knowing that McDonald’s owners Freddie and Rosa Rosado would not be allowed to speak about the incident.

“The safety and security of our customers, their families, our neighbors and our employees is always a top priority. We are aware of the incident that occurred in the parking lot of the Chambers Street McDonald’s yesterday, and I am cooperating fully with the Trenton Police Department. As this is an ongoing situation, it would be inappropriate to speculate or comment further and, as such, any additional questions should be directed to the police department.” - Rosa Rosado, McDonald’s Owner/Operator

One expects scripted monotone responses when dealing with a world corporation such as McDonald’s. Play nice. Be straightforward and never let them see you sweat even if a Philadelphia news van reports from just outside your doors.

Part of the video showed a McDonald’s manager step outside. She made a futile attempt to stop the incident then went back inside.

“Are you the woman in the video?” She responded yes. “Weren’t you a little scared to get involved?” “No,” she said. The employee whooshed away but admiration exists here for her effort to stop the beat down of one young woman.

Sources said several people made a 9-1-1 call to the Trenton Police Department. Police said a unit responded, witnessed no incident and left.

Police never entered the McDonald’s to inquire about the incident. They never interviewed eyewitnesses nor attempted to view videotape.

That’s not police work, not really. The lack of effort underscores issues community members express about dealing with city police officers.

It’s like they don’t care, even though our money pays their salaries.

A Trenton spokesperson will eventually offer more excuses

than a litter of Dalmatians.

Hoping that city residents help police round up these violent people and remove them from our lives. ******************* Male genitalia drawn to identify a pothole on a Hamilton Twp. street forced immediate attention for repair by a DOT street crew.

Guess “America’s Favorite Hometown” needed to make sure that no low-hanging fruit, so to speak, appears on public roadways.

Wow. Suddenly Linda Ronstadt’s “Just One Look (that’s all it took)” rambled around in my fuzzy gray matter. It’s 6 a.m. and I’ve already asked a friend to assist an initiative to employ a similar tactic to show pothole locations throughout the City of Trenton. Maybe if we point them out, city workers can quickly repair them.

A one-block section of Mifflin St., located between Chambers and Franklin, would connect to some crazed version of “It’s Raining Men” or their body parts.

Perhaps “Art All Night” could implement street art as part of this year’s June 17-18 event. They could produce human body art throughout the City of Trenton.

All those inquisitive young minds could learn about human anatomy just by strolling down South Clinton Ave. “Hey, mom. What’s that?” “Honey, that’s a penis.” “A penis? Daddy calls it Mr. Seymour.”

Only problem, children tethered to parents might witness real action as South Clinton Ave. prostitutes service their customers on discarded mattresses.

Welcome to Trenton. Just follow those street markings toward Art All Night.

Enjoy.
