Evelyn M. Conover of Hamilton
Evelyn M. Conover, 82, of Hamilton, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017, at Compassionate Care Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong Hamilton resident. Evelyn worked as a switchboard operator and then as a Loan Officer for Delaval Credit Union. She later worked in the Bursar’s office at Rider University. She enjoyed being involved with the Nottingham Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, going to the casinos, watching sports, and was the “Original Soccer Mom”. Evelyn loved to entertain and cherished the many special friendships that she maintained over the years.
Predeceased by her parents, Clifford and Loretta Jones; many siblings and her husband, John A. Conover; she is survived by her sons and their spouses, John and Terrie Conover, Gary and Lauren Conover, and Kevin and Elizabeth Conover; her grandchildren, Jason, Jamie, Justin, Chelsea, Jeremy and Cameron; and many nieces and nephews. Evelyn is one of ten children and is survived by Mildred, Donald, Helen, Tina, and Bonnie.
The family would like to extend a thank you to all of the caregivers who took care of Evelyn over these last few months.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. at Saint Mark United Methodist Church, 465 Paxson Avenue, Hamilton, NJ 08690.
Cremation will be private.
