Louise D. Knight of Ewing

Louise D. Knight of Ewing, NJ age 96 passed away June 10, 2017 at Compassionate Care Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton, NJ.

She was born in Baltimore Md., and was a resident of the Trenton area for over 60 years.

She attended the Trenton Public School System, and was a graduate-Trenton Central High School.

She was a retired Life Insurance Agent with Progressive Life Insurance Company with many years of service.

She was a member of Mt. Zion AME Church, Stewardess Board, and H. Alan Garcia Society.

Louise was predeceased in death by her parents, Samuel and Mary Dorsey, her brother, Samuel Dorsey her husband, James Knight, and her daughter, Jean K. Pumphrey.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Shawnn Fletcher (Stephan), and James Pumphrey (Carol), her sister-law, Margaret Dorsey, a cousin Nathan Sesson, her great-grandchildren, her great-great children, and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11am Mon., June 19, 2017 at Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church, 42 Pennington Ave., Trenton, NJ. Calling hours will 9am until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Zion AME Church. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home.
