Trenton
Shooting: A man was injured by gunfire Friday night in the 700 block of West State Street. The victim told police he was walking in that area when he was approached by another male who fired gunshots at him, then ran. The victim suffered a through-and-through gunshot wound to his lower back, and was also struck twice in the right leg, resulting in a broken femur. The man underwent surgery and remains hospitalized in stable condition. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation.
Piscataway
Murder: Henry Stevenson Jr., 24, was gunned down Friday night near the intersection of West 3rd Street and Poplar Place. Police found him lying on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds around 7:00 p.m. Stevenson later died at the hospital. No suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
Montgomery
Theft from Vehicles: Cash and electronics were stolen out of a vehicle parked on York Drive in the Yorkshire Woods housing development. Police say four other vehicles were burglarized as well. All five of the vehicles had been left unlocked.
High at the Club: Sheila Araya, 18, of Princeton, and three juvenile Montgomery residents were arrested after police found them in possession of marijuana inside a vehicle parked at the Kings Crossing Swim Club. Araya was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Charges against the juveniles are pending.
Drugs and Driving: Rishi Vardya, 18, of Skillman, and a juvenile male were arrested after police found drugs, paraphernalia and an open bottle of Vodka in a car they occupied. Vardya was charged for underage possession of alcohol. The juvenile male was apprehended for possession of drugs and paraphernalia. Vardya was also issued motor vehicle citations for failure to maintain a lane, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, careless driving and provisional license violation.
Robbinsville
Missing Equipment: Approximately $3,100 worth of landscape equipment was stolen from a trailer parked on Woodside Road.
Pill Bust: Nicholas Wells, 27, of Hightstown, was arrested after police allegedly found him in possession of Suboxone without a prescription. Police encountered Wells on Route 130 after stopping him for failure to maintain a lane and failure to a signal turn.
Westampton
Pot Bust: Ashley Jackson, 26, of Willingboro, was arrested for marijuana possession during a traffic stop on Burlington-Mt. Holly Road. Officials say Jackson was stopped for driving with a suspended registration, and that police saw marijuana on the floorboard of the vehicle during the investigation. Jackson was also charged for driving without insurance and possession of drugs in a motor vehicle.
Lower Makefield, Pa.
ID Theft: A resident of Bridle Court told police someone opened an account in their name and charged $2,800 worth of merchandise.
Burglary: Police are searching for a woman who burglarized a home on Makefield Road searching for prescription medication to steal. Officials say a homeowner recorded video of a white female wearing a pink sweater entering an unlocked residence on a quest to find prescription medication. Officials believe the suspect entered the home on two other occasions and stole 23 prescription pills.
Firecracker Mischief: Someone put a lit firecracker inside a mailbox located in the 1200 block of Revere Road.
