The aerial photo of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie lounged on an Island Beach State Park strand of sand accomplished exactly what the Garden State emperor intended — pissed most people off.

Governor Christie, about as popular as sand granules stuck between any human nook and cranny offered his parting shot as he prepares to leave the governorship. And it’s not unexpected, the King of Narcissism signed off with insolence.

Seated comfortably on a beach closed by his executive order, Christie delivered one ginormous “F-you” to people who had planned to visit a New Jersey park for the Fourth of July holiday.

A budget impasse forced the closing of approximately 40 staterun facilities, including numerous beaches, golf courses and campgrounds.

Christie and his entourage sun bathed at Island Beach State Park as police turned away people attempting to enter the park.

“This is an incredible scandal,” Christie said. “They actually caught a politician being where he said he was going to be with the people he said he was going to be with.”

Can you believe this guy? He sounds like a man who wants honesty points after revealing that he has two mistresses, three extra children, plus, a girlfriend on Chappaquiddick Island.

Disregard the political flap about Horizon Blue Cross, Blue Shield profits but focus on Christie, a political degenerate still convinced that his crap smells like Kansas City barbecue.

Pressed about his audacious decision to flop on a beach closed to all other New Jerseyans, Christie performed another death-defying leap like the dear departed The Diving Horse at the Steel Pier in Atlantic City.

“The governor has a residence at Island Beach,” he said. “Others don’t. That’s the way it goes. Run for governor and you can have the residence.”

Christie sounded like some proud canine after being asked about personal grooming habits. “Because he can” sounds brutally honest and deplorably dishonorable.

There’s a reason the New Jersey governor reached a 15-percent approval rating. This guy’s a firstclass petulent pariah headed for single-digit support as his twoterm performance moved him from Republican heavyweight to over-weight blowhard.

Pound-for-pound, Gov. Christie has morphed into Mr. Nobody, holding onto any sense of relevance for this final act as he cruises Sunset Boulevard.

Unfortunately, Christie, flailing, kicking and screaming, has pulled others into his riptide. Who are those lost survivors on that Island Beach State Park sand?

They look like castaways from some Gilligan Island script, entitled to put down beach chairs and spread out on blankets without any sense of queasiness.

If the wayward beachgoers do not feel one iota of impropriety then let’s see them head out for sun on the Fourth of July. In their hearts, Christie’s clan knows that they are wrong.

It’s difficult to believe that Christie, nor his wife, Mary Pat, nor the movie star, and the rest could not understand that their presence represented the “Summer of 2017 F-U” which feels a lot like the September 2013 F-U when Christie associates closed lanes of the George Washington Bridge as payback for a Fort Lee mayor who had decided to not support the governor’s reelection campaign.

The Bridgegate scandal delivered a conspiracy to commit fraud guilty plea by David Wildstein followed by convictions of Bridget Ann Kelly and Bill Baroni on nine counts of conspiracy, fraud and related charges.

Of course, Christie attempted fraud when asked about his day at the beach. Pressed about his Island Beach State Park stay, the governor resorted to lying.

Christie told a reporter that he had missed out on Mr. Sunshine despite the fact that the New Jersey Star-Ledger had photos of the governor soaking up summer rays.

“Yes, the governor was on the beach briefly today talking to his wife and family before heading into the office,” Brian Murray, the governor’s spokesman told The Star-Ledger.

“He did not get any sun. He had a baseball hat on.”

We’re finished here.
