TRENTON

Alleged Domestic Violence: Calvin T. Funderburg, 39, of Trenton, was arrested Thursday afternoon on simple assault domestic violence charges in connection with an incident that occurred earlier in the month. Funderburg’s ex-girlfriend was at a local bar in the area of North Clinton Avenue and Poplar Street when Funderburg showed up, followed her into a bathroom and allegedly assaulted her by choking her and slamming her head into a sink about 12:30a.m. July 7. The victim reported the incident to police, and a warrant was issued for Funderburg’s arrest. Trenton Police located Funderburg on Lamberton Street Thursday afternoon and arrested him there on the active warrant. More Alleged Domestic Violence: Axarius Williams, 28, of Trenton, was arrested Thursday afternoon on simple assault domestic violence charges. Trenton Police responded to the 900block of East State Street on a report of an assault in progress. Officers met with the victim, who told police she got into an argument with Williams and that Williams punched her in the head several times during the argument. She also told police that Williams caused her to fall by pushing her. The victim sustained signs of injury but declined medical attention. Williams was on the scene when police arrived, and he was arrested on the simple assault charges. Police did not specify the victim’s relation to Williams but said the incident is classified as domestic violence.

Even More Allegation­s of Domestic Violence: Jamar Madison, 30, of Trenton, was arrested Thursday by Florence Township Police on active warrants out of Trenton charging him in connection with two incidents of domestic violence. Both simple assault incidents occurred on separate occasions last year. On Oct. 8, 2016, Madison and the victim were seated inside a vehicle in the area of Cavell Avenue and got into an argument that ended with Madison allegedly hitting the victim in her head. The same victim came under attack on Oct. 14, 2016, when Madison allegedly assaulted her during a dispute, causing the victim to sustain a small laceration to the back of her hand. Florence Police on Thursday arrested Madison on the active warrants and turned him over to Trenton Police. The relationsh­ip between the victim and Madison was not specified but police said the simple assault cases against Madison are classified as domestic violence.

Burglary: The Metro PCS store at 1531N. Olden Ave. was burglarize­d about 3:40 a.m. June 26. Surveillan­ce video of the incident depicts a white or Hispanic male smashing out the window and climbing inside. Once inside the establishm­ent, the suspect walks directly to the cash register drawer and removes it. The suspect also removed a Bluetooth speaker from the counter and left the business. Drug Overdose Homicide: Jose LaPorte, 24, of Camden, has been indicted by a Burlington County grand jury this week on heavy charges accusing him of selling drugs that caused Sung Han to die from a heroin overdose. Sung, 35, of Delran, fatally overdosed in the early morning hours of April 12
