Eliseo R. Escobia, 63, of Ewing, entered into God’s eternal rest on Tuesday, July

18, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. Born in Butuan, Philippine­s, Eliseo emigrated to the U.S. in 1986 and resided in the Ewing Township area since. He was a former Merchant Marine when he was in the Philippine­s, and worked as a bartender for 15 years at the Green Acres Country Club in Lawrencevi­lle, NJ and then for the past 12 years at The Ridge at the Back Brook Country Club in Ringoes, NJ. Eliseo was a fun loving and happy go lucky kind of man who loved life and loved to help others. He was a very special type of person who regularly took others into his home until they could get on their feet and find work. Eliseo enjoyed watching sports, especially golf and boxing. Eliseo was a loving and devoted fiancé, father figure, brother, uncle, and friend to many.

Eliseo is predecease­d by his parents Agapito and Honoria (Ranes) Escobia; and his wife Patricia Escobia. Those left behind to grieve are his fiancée Marlyn Lovitos and her children who he treated as his own, Rescelynn Agdeppa and Jim Theodore Agdeppa; his four siblings: Manuel Escobia, Conchita Tagulinao, Salvacion Tumulaka, and Azon Quinones; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Parkside Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 1584 Parkside Ave., Ewing, NJ 08638. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 12:00 PM at the Church of St. Ann. Burial will follow in Ewing Cemetery, 78 Scotch Rd., Ewing, NJ.
