James A. Crescenzi, 88, of Hamilton Township, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Hamilton Continuing Care, Hamilton, NJ.

Born in Trenton, New Jersey, he resided in England for three years, and in the Trenton/Hamilton Township area most of his life.

Mr. Crescenzi was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired in 2004 after thirteen years from Rider University, Lawrencevi­lle, New Jersey. He formerly was employed by Doolittle-Allen Furniture and Carpet for forty years and was a member of the VFW Post 3525 of Hamilton.

Son of the late John and Lena Caravone Crescenzi; brother of the late Jules Crescenzi; he is survived by his loving wife, Zena D. Cochrane Crescenzi; two sons and a daughterin-law, Barry J. and Elaine Crescenzi, and Stephen J. Crescenzi; a sister and brother-in-law, Claire and Frank Cocuzza; a sister-inlaw, Ellen Crescenzi; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Raphael Church, 3500 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ. Burial will follow in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover Township, New Jersey.

There will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons may be made in his name to the VFW Post 3525, 77 Christine Avenue, Hamilton, NJ 08619, or Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675.
